RAAM Construction refurbished this 3-bedroom house in the prestigious location of Winchmore Hill. We first stripped out the entire property and returned it to shell condition. After that, a new central heating was installed, new windows were put in and our team rewired all electricity in the property, bringing it up to modern safety standards.

In addition, we added a rear single story extension to the house with two sets of large Shucco sliding doors and a roof light, creating a spacious living area with superb lighting conditions. The extension provides the property with a modernistic split-level room where one can enjoy the view of the garden in a spacious and warm environment. Opening the canopy doors will create a subtle transfer between the extension and the garden, bringing the benefits of fresh air and sunny weather into a comfortable living space.

By removing some structural walls, we created a large kitchen/dining area. Within, we installed bespoke kitchen units and granite worktops. We created a luxury U-shaped kitchen with modern appliances, whilst still giving the kitchen a classic feel. The polished concrete floor is both elegant and easy to clean and adds to the modern and classic combination of this kitchen.

Elsewhere in the property, RAAM Construction created a modern bathroom with wet room, with various design elements. A clean and sleek look was created by applying built-in plumbing devices so that not a single pipe is seen, which would have influenced the modernistic style of this room.

Other new additions include an oaken staircase and front door. The porch roof was transformed by adding a made to measure hardwood canopy.

We externally insulated the property with STO insulation and rendered it with an STO render system to match neighbouring properties. The client requested many specialist finishes, such as a polished concrete floor in the kitchen and living area, Italian polished plaster (stucco and travertine), made to measure metal stairwell railing and attractive driveway bricks to create two parking spaces.

The overall project was a great success and added significant value to the house, as you can see in the gallery below.
